Avoiding what will eat me alive

What I’m trying to avoid is the thing that will eat me in a while.
From the inside constructions once built are close to collapse.
External events make me realize it, though I have given myself the cheat of postponement.
A bit longer I can keep this up, stitch it up a bit with the art of rationalising.
The game is one of ‘for how long before…?’
When will I bite my own ass with this strategy?

Practice, then, should consist of situations that give me an objective look on what’s going on.
A look beyond the initial story, even though it sounds like a great one - it’s behind the theater.
Seeing my theater play, I become the spectator who bought the ticket to witness the show.
Witnessing the show I can start to imagine its outcome.
All the seats are mine there.
I can listen and close my eyes, see, turn my back to, leave the theater even.
