Inspire by Fighting Monkey
La Tortue A Plumes (Brussels, Belgium)
Saturday September 21 - 9.30AM-1PM
Transform the way you navigate life's challenges and unveil your behavioural creativity.
Through a dynamic combination of movement games and individual practices, you'll learn to break free from restlessness and physical disconnection.
Society and our personal history impose pressure on our movement and mental agility.
We'll explore how stressors affect perception, physical reactions and ability to take creative action, empowering you with adaptive tools to thrive in the face of complexity.
Play Your Struggle
Whether you're:
✺ Struggling to slow down and feel at home in your body
✺ Feeling disconnected from your own voice and boundaries
✺ Battling recurring tensions
✺ Craving play and new exploration
This workshop is an invitation to move into a world of possibility.
Immerse yourself in a dynamic exploration space where you'll practice individually, engage in observational exercises and challenge your behavioural creativity through partnering with others.
꩜ Feel friction in your body when faced with complexity?
꩜ Notice where tension limits your horizon?
꩜ Sense the history you're still holding onto, yearning to be released?
Tools You’ll Experience
-
Rhythmic movements designed to open your joints, improve physical interconnection and heighten
awareness of your psycho-physiological state. -
Rhythmical and coordinative movements will test your ability to decode new information and
nourish the elastic qualities (“that youthful bounce in our step”) that we tend to lose as we age. -
Play is your brain’s favourite way of learning. Non-linear games help you to humorously reshape your own habits while on the move. You’ll develop confidence in your ability to adapt, see new options and thrive when meeting obstacles.
-
Gain a deeper understanding of where you are storing frictions in yourself and in your relations with others - gaining feedback to make the necessary corrections in your lifestyle.
Play is the humorous study of habit.
Simulate challenge to see new angles.
Consider new options & kill your darlings.
Stimulate your adaptability, longevity and creativity.
Expect to
꩜ Feel at home in your own body and map your boundaries in motion
꩜ See new options & get unstuck faster by nourishing your creativity and playfulness
꩜ Understand yourself better in action
꩜ Heal old injuries by interconnecting your body
You will leave the weekend with repeatable physical practices and personal insights you can keep coming back to.

Frequently Asked Questions
-
Experience with the material we use is not required. The only requirement to join a workshop is to be open to explore.
We’ve had participants from 18 to 73 years old at our workshops.
The real question is not about experience but: are you open to play with trying new ways of thinking and moving? Yes? Then this is for you! -
Yes! Our philosophy is to never stop moving, even when there’s an injury.
Important is ofcourse that you participate within YOUR current boundaries.
We’ve had past participants who were injured or rehabbing and were looking for ways to get back in shape again.
In case there’s a specific question about injury beforehand or during the Reheat, don’t hold back in reaching out to Olivier and Natalia. -
I noticed that after Reheats weekends with accommodation immersed in beautiful nature that there's a drop back to daily life after workshops.
It's often harder for many practitioners to 'recreate' what was felt in a special place when back home.
Urban Reheat is an intention to practice in the city together and emphasizing that practice is everywhere, all the time and the aim is not to make practice dependent on a special time and place.
Compare the weekends in Autumn (in the forest) and Spring (by the beach) as going to the mountain.
Urban Reheat is about internally remembering the mountain while in the city - finding stillness in the restlessness of city life.
